Kitty Whitelaw

from Scotland

Kitty is originally from Alloa, Scotland and is currently based in London. Her passion and love of live performance has taken her across the world, in live music, theatre, film and TV. She has performed all over the UK, Paris and Singapore. For more information about her acting please look at her bio page.

Kitty is a regular gigging Jazz musician, and takes inspiration from Jazz vocalist Anita O’Day. In 2019 she made her official EFG London Jazz Festival debut with her concert “Kitty Sings O’Day All Night”.

Kitty also leads original music project SEALIONWOMAN with double bassist Tye McGivern. They released their debut record, SIREN in late 2018 with independent music label Antigen Records. They have had their music played on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 6. NTS, Resonance FM and numerous well respected music podcasts.

Kitty has sung jazz and her original music in venues all across London such as EARTH Hackney, Union Chapel, The Hippodrome Casino, Cafe de Paris and Cafe Oto.

In recent years Kitty has been collaborating with other creatives. She has created vocals and music for computer games, original compositions, film soundtracks and art installations.
